Creating a Text Only Broadcast

As a best practice, we highly recommend using the "Voice & Text" combination message type instead of text only. This Message Type allows you to send a text message to all of the cell phone numbers provided and allows you to record a voice message to be sent to the landlines in one step.  View this article for more information.

To continue sending a "Text Only" broadcast, follow the steps below:

Click the CREATE A BROADCAST tab at the top of the page after logging in.

Step 1:  Select “Text Only” as the Message Type and name the broadcast.

Step 2: Decide who you want to receive this message. You have three options:

  • Add Contacts - will add numbers that are saved from your CONTACTS section
  • Upload - allows you to upload a file
  • Add Individually - provides a form to enter numbers in manually

**Please note: Call-Em-All is only able to send text messages to textable numbers (cell phones).  We are not able to send texts to landlines.

Step 3: Decide when you want your broadcast to start - immediately or at a specific date and time in the future.

Step 4: Enter your text message in the text box. The maximum character limit for U.S. carriers is 160 characters and the limit for Canadian carriers is 136 characters.

Step 5: Review steps 1-4 to make sure everything is correct then click "Submit."
