Sending a VOICE & TEXT Broadcast
The "Voice & Text" message type allows you to send a text message to all of the cell phone numbers provided and allows you to record a voice message to be sent to the landlines in one step. While most people prefer texts, our research shows that there are an average of 10% landlines in a given group. This combination message type ensures all of your contacts are able to receive the information you need to get out.
Click the CREATE A BROADCAST tab at the top of the page after logging in.
Step 1: Select “Voice & Text” as the Message Type and name the broadcast.
**Please note: Checking the box to "Send textable recipients BOTH a text and a voice call" will consume additional credits on the Credits plan.
Step 2: Decide who you want to receive this message. You have three options:
- Add from Existing Contacts
- Upload a File
- Add Individually
**Please note: Call-Em-All is only able to send text messages to textable numbers (cell phones). We are not able to send texts to landlines.
Step 3: Decide when you want your broadcast to start - immediately or at a specific date and time in the future.
Step 4: Enter your text messages in the text box. The maximum character limit for U.S. carriers to 160 characters and the limit for Canadian characters is 136 characters.
Step 5: Decide what voice message you'd like to send. You have three options:
- Record a new message (most common)
- Select from Audio Library (allows you to select from previously saved or most recently used audio)
- Upload an Audio File
Step 6: Review steps 1-5 to make sure everything is correct and then click "Submit."
